Matt Goss Beautiful Unknown Dive Bombs Into The Music Abyss.

Matt Goss this week (8-4-22) crashes out of the UK Official Charts 100, iTunes 100, and Amazon 100 charts quicker than a bullet being shot out of a gun.
The new album charted on the official chart for just one week, even though the album has been available on pre-order for around 9 months, was put back three times due to poor sales, and was finally released on the 25th March 2022, entering the UK Official charts at number 7.
The Official Charts company who calculates the physical sales, downloads and streaming of an album during the weeks and months prior to the release and after, will then use those sales figures calculate
the chart position.
However its seems that fans and admins from some social media groups like @teammattgoss, Aussiebrossette, MGA.
Who recently posted claims across social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, with Matt's himself putting up post on Instagram and claiming his album was number 1 on the official chart and iTunes album chart.
Matt Goss then deleted his post once members on twitter screenshot the the correct chart information.
Matt, who is well known for making ludicrous claims in past interviews about his solo career, has again made himself look more of a fool than normal. You would think his management team would checked the chart information before allowing Matt to upload these post.
The former bros' singer who is so desperate for fame, went back to social media to beg and plead with fans to buy more copies in a last attempt to improve sales.
Matt even asked fans to attend another album signing at Banquet Records on the 9th of April a week after the album had already officially charted, because of low sales.
Fan's told us that while they were there Matt asked them to buy extra copies of his album to gift to friends and complete strangers in the street.
We contacted Banquet Records who told us that 150 fans had shown interest in the signing but once again the signing failed to sell out.
We also obtained information that the signing was mainly attended by the usual fans who have been bulk buying the album again and again in an attempt to increase sales.
With Matt Goss and his management team still claiming a higher chart position on social media, we thought we would do our own investigating into the official charting of this album.
So we contacted the Official charts company and a source from the company confirmed that the album had charted at number 7 and confirmed the album had charted for just one week.
The beautiful Unknown was the ex-Bros singer's new release in 9 years and was the singer's highest chart entry in his 30-year career as a solo artist selling less than 8000 copies.
Even with all the hype and fans buying up to and exceeding 20 copies each, sales have plummeted into the music abyss, with the album selling fewer copies than his 2013 album release "Life You Imagine" which charted at number 27 and stayed there for two weeks.
Matt Goss who been left embarrassed by those individuals who provided the incorrect information to him and has also made the ex-bros frontman a laughing stock among the music community.
Matt was given the nickname David Brent because of the ludicrous quotes he was coming out within the Bros documentary "After the screaming stop" and the similarities he has with Ricky Gervais's fictional character ego and self persona.
With concerns now widespread, whether Matt Goss will still have the backing of the record company Explorer 1 is yet to be announced as the album has not exceeded expectations.
Matt who was recently reported saying he had spent over £100,000 pounds of his own money on the reworked video for "Better With You" with the video just exceeding over 43.527 on YouTube, has not exactly been value for money ex bros frontman with fans preferring the original video.
Album was already on sale like a week after release. When I went to the signing I was asked to buy even more to gift to my family and friends. Like for real who asks this at a signing?
ReplyDeleteI went to the sheffield signing and he asked me to do the same.
