 Fontaines D.C. celebrate their first-ever UK Number 1 album with Skinty Fia:

Fontaines D.C. soar straight to the summit on this week’s Official Albums Chart, claiming their first-ever UK number 1 album with Skinty Fia.

   The Dublin-born band, comprising Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan III, Grian Chatten and Tom Coll, outsold the competition by 2-1 helping them obtain the top spot.

Physical sales account for 87% of Skinty Fia’s total sales and seeing the group top this week’s Official Vinyl Albums Chart too. 

 Prior to this, Fontaines D.C. had previously scored two Top 10 albums, with 2019’s Dogrel (9) and 2020 LP A Hero’s Death (2).

  Celebrating their Official Number 1 album, Fontaines D.C. said  “We're touched by everyone's response to Skinty Fia, thank you to everyone who bought, streamed and downloaded  the album.”

Matt announced on social media, that he would be performing at the London Palladium on the 23rd of April. Ticket sales have been so low the singer had to reduce ticket prices in the attempt to fill the 2000 space capacity theater, with online giant Ticketmaster emailing fans and providing notifications about new seat allocation nearer to the stage.  This practice is normally done when a venue struggles to sell tickets. With Matt so desperate to try and fill the Palladium, he begged fans to buy up to 6 tickets each and gift them to family members and strangers.  His management team also took to social media begging fans to buy, with one fan Dee Murphy posting buy tickets it's less than a pedicure. Editor Katie Watkins 11-11-2021 Rob Ferguson and Michael Licata who both manage 80's Pop icon and Bros frontman Matt Goss have both been forced to give an apology for the disgusting abusive and vile behavior. The action of Michael Licata and Rob Ferguson (Lit Management / Transcend Music) both asked members of several Facebook groups to share their vile posts, which escalated to a vicious assault on a male fan reputation and threats to his life. The attacks were so bad the male fan had received threats from hundreds of fans in which numerous fans were investigated by the police. Luke Goss on his time to shine. Editor Katie Watkin's 4 /2/ 22 Starting his career alongside his brother Matt, Luke Goss was the beloved drummer from 80's Global sensation Bros. Even though Matt was the singer, Luke had thousands of adoring fans who would follow him everywhere. After the split of Bros in 1992 , Luke created his rock group named Luke Goss and the Band of Thieves.
