Matt Goss fails to deliver at the none sellout VIP event and get backlash from fans.

Matt Goss announced back in October this year, that he was doing a VIP event to promote his new album "The Beautiful Unknown.". The venue was the stunning Bloomsbury Room in London.
The price of the tickets was a staggering £300.00, for that you got to listen to the album with a Q&A section, and finally, Matt would do a 3 single unplugged session.
Since returning to the UK Matt has released 3 singles from the album "Somewhere To Fall, Better With You and just recently Saved. The Singles even though are credible pop tracks however do lack in the lyrics department. To his credit, the videos do have a fantastic cinema video presence to support the songs and I have to confess the video outdo the songs.
So far the singles have failed to chart on any official Music chart in the UK and Worldwide except for Amazon and iTunes where sales were very disappointing.
"Somewhere To fall entered the iTunes chart on August 20th at number 34 and two days later fell out of the chart. This also had the same reaction from amazon.
Matt then released his second single " Better With You" which charted on iTunes at number 67 and stayed for 2 days before falling out of the charts.
The single even though the track was upbeat had somewhat poor lyrics. and terrible low-budget video.
Then on November 5th Matt Goss announced the third single from the up-and-coming album called Saved. Once again the video was excellent in parts, yet somewhat creepy and cringe-worthy in others.
The Single once again failed to make any kind of impact on any of the Official charts, and where it did chart like iTunes and Amazon.
Matt Goss was, hoping that his new single would generate interest in his new album, but pre-sales were very low, with the album being put back until February 2022.
The single failed to stay charted for very long.
The VIP event received further backlash from over 100 fans across social media, accusing the '80s pop Icon of pure greed. With fans stating how can he charge ridiculous amounts of money for what is no more than him putting his album in a cd player.
The Event is not even an album live session with tracks played from his CD with Matt then performing 3 live songs.
The singer who is managed by Rob Ferguson and Michael Licata (who at present are facing a defamation court case for their online abuse towards a fan just over a week ago) claims the show had sold out when in fact they sold just over 100 tickets. Matt Goss then went to social media announcing a release of further 25 tickets for the event. When we contacted the official Matt Goss website they told us they were still 91 tickets available for the show, clearly showing the event didn't sell out. which has led fans to head to social media accusing the management of misleading fans.
Fans have also been flocking to social media to show their frustration and disgust at the organization, stating they were promised a free cocktail upon arrival.
The event also promised as part of the ticket price there would be free a goody bag containing a poster and a Single CD of "Somewhere to fall (Midnight mix" (which around 60 fans didn't receive).
Fan also commented that they were promised an exclusive live hearing of Matt's New album which didn't go to plan as well as 3 unplugged songs from his new album which also didn't happen.
What Matt did perform were " Somewhere To Fall" taken from the new album and two songs from previous albums "I Owe You Nothing taken from Bros Push ( which sold over 12 Million Copies worldwide and "Just for a Change" taken from Matts solo 2004 commercial flop album "Early Side of Later" (Which charted at number 84 on the Official Album chart selling just over 2000 copies.
Fans have also continued to complain about the event saying the sound system of the event sounded distorted. Whilst other fans have posted that Matt was rude to them when they asked for pictures, even though if you are spending £300 pounds on a ticket you would least expect a free picture with the artist considering there were less than 200 people at the event, this including the band his management and security.
Most fans commented the highlight of the evening was not Matt himself but that of Celebrity Juice's very own charismatic Keith Lemon who posed and chatted with Matt's fans. ( well done to Keith you were the savior of the evening ).
Keith was actually such a swearheart, but I agree, Matt was a bit distant with the fans, he did chat with people he seemed to know and their friends or family but if you were "just" a fan, not so much of a look, I guess once he got the money he did not need to be friendly to them anymore. Can always blame it on Covid I guess.
