 Matt Goss V Michael Bublé

In the battle of albums. We look at the commercial success of both Artist.

Editor Katie Watkins 1 / 4/ 22

Matt Goss fans hit a all time low last night  after trolling Canadian singer Michael Bublé with there some what ludicrous claims.
Matt Goss fans who call themselves the Matt Goss Mafia, which show's the some disturbed mentally of  these individuals.

Both artist released there new albums this week and both should enter the UK officials charts today.
With scenes of desperation by Matt Goss and his team  which saw a less then expected turn out from his album signing with only one HMV signing being classed as sold out.

Further more Matt Goss had other album signing at Banquet records and Crash in Leeds with both retailer stating low turn out compared to other acts.

Further concerns were made  by his management team when Matt Goss failed to sellout two intimate album launch show's which were being held at the HMV Empire and  PRYZM and sold less than
600 tickets for both events.

The new album also failed to have any real commercial success outside the UK  according to the Worldwide iTunes charts where the album failed to chart in any other country.

Matt Goss and his team including Michael Licata and Rob Ferguson pleaded and begged  with fans to buy multiple copies of the album, which included some fans buying  up to 20 copies each to give the impression the album has been more successful than it actually is.
when in fact if  sales were  1 album per customer Matt would of sold less than 1000 copies

The shameful groveling and begging continued into late last night with fans boasting on social media I've bought 20 copies and I'm gonna buy some more clearly show's how desperate they were.

However it's clear that Matt Goss and his team including somewhat deluded fans have no understanding on how iTunes and Amazon ranking work but that left best for another day.

With incorrect claims  being made by both Managers claiming that Matt had sold more copies of his album than Michael Bublé, which clearly show that Rob Ferguson and Michael Licata also have no understanding on how streaming and downloads site work.

But just to give a  quick example Matt Goss 2004 album "Earlier Side Later" entered the amazon chart 3 weeks ago at 48 after it sold 30 copies within 1 hour.

So far Matt new album had no success on any of  the major streaming site including Deezer top 100 most streamed album chart and Apple Music top 150 most streamed popular albums.

With no reputable radio station playing his music commercial success seems bleak.
Unless the same deluded fans keep buying his album week in week and which out then this album will have no long standing success.

The small majority of fans have no idea the damage they are doing to Matt Goss reputation in fact all their doing is giving Matt Goss a false persona and making the him laughing stock in the music industry and the record label Explorer 1.

Which gets me to the point of  rumours that Matt Goss is buying fake like and comments on both his social media accounts which was some what referred to by his previous manager Olly Rowland on twitter.

Fakes bots are computer software that create fake profiles which then create fake like and comments and this in fact in some way true as Matts Goss Likes on Facebook, jumped from 20K to 122k in less than 1 month with fans asking how he got so many likes when album and single sales are so low.

Moving on from the somewhat pathetic action by some  deluded fan's which I believed have damaged the reputation of Matt Goss, Explorer 1 Music and his album which in fairness is his best release in 30 years.

While the elegant  charismatic and loveable family man that is Michael Bublé  who has seen his new album "Higher" top the iTunes charts in the following countries

UK (1) US (2)  AUS (1) AUSTRA (1) BELGIUM (4) BRAZIL (1)
CANADA (1)  DENMARK (2) FRANCE (9) GERMANY (4)
ITALY (4) IRELAND (1)  NETHERLANDS (2) NEW ZEALAND (2)
SOUTH AFRICA (3) SPAIN (2) SWITZERLAND (9)  TURKEY (5).

with extra shows being added to his album launch party at the PRYZM  due  to huge demand. Banquet Records also tweeted that they had sold more Michael Bublé and Machine Gun Kelly album's in one day then the the store had traded in 6 months.

Michael Bublé  new album also earned a #1 Best Seller rating on Amazon which is held since the pre - order  release and whilst Matt Goss has not received that status for his album showing the difference in units being shifted by the online retailer.

Mr Bublé and his devoted fans have been some quiet and not succumb to social media retaliation to the playground behaviour submitted to them.

The world and Music industry knows that Michael Bublé is and always will be a credible  music artist who voice, beautiful heart and charisma would have most harden of men melt in his hand.

Comparing the two artist by commercial sales is very easy to determine as we just need to look at the previous chart sales. to date Mr Bublé has sold over 75 Million  studio album worldwide in his 21 year career  whist Matt Goss as a solo artist of 30 years as sold around 40,000 copies worldwide in total from his past 4 studio albums..

Maybe Matt should consider leaving his solo work behind, getting rid of Rob Ferguson and Michael Licata as his manager and going back to Bros, which was said  back in 2021 by Gary Barlow and maybe having credible song writers like Barlow to manage him and write a new album for him and Luke.
