Legendary drummer for the rock band Foo Fighters, has died at the age of 50, Taylor Hawkins's passed away on Friday according to reports issued by the band.

“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.”

“Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginable difficult time.”

The cause of death has yet to be determined. Tributes have been flowing in for the drummer, with musicians and fans across the world expressing their shock at his sudden passing.

At the time of Hawkins’ death, The Foo Fighters were on tour in South America. The band had just played in San Isidro, Argentina, last Sunday and were due to perform in Bogota, Colombia, on Friday night – the day his death was announced.
