1- Bros - The Time

The Time is the second release and follow up album by Bros, it was released 1/10/1989 and has certified Gold with sales over 100,000 by BPI and has amassed  sales over 4 Million worldwide.

The album is incredible with Matt Goss once again showcasing his amazing vocals, with
a new more rock /pop  feel the album has some quality tracks like Too Much, Streetwise, Don't Bite the Hand and Sister. Bros have always been
underrated band yet their success speaks for itself.
 
 
 



 
 2- Madonna Like a Prayer

 Like a Prayer is the fourth studio album by American recording artist Madonna, released on March 21, 1989 by Sire Records. Madonna worked with Stephen BrayPatrick Leonard, and Prince on the album while co-writing and co-producing all the songs. Her most introspective release at the time, Like a Prayer has been described as a confessional record. Madonna described the album as a collection of songs "about my mother, my father, and bonds with my family." The album was dedicated to Madonna's mother, who died when she was young.  The tracks are very pop their are only two stand out tracks Like a prayer and Cherish however the album did amass sales of 15 million worldwide. 
 
 


 


3- Erasure Wild

Wild! is the fourth studio album by British band Erasure. Released in 1989, it was the follow-up album to their 1988 breakthrough The Innocents.  The album was produced by Erasure, along with Gareth Jones and Mark Saunders. and released by Mute Records in the UK and Sire Records in the US. The album had its usual pop electronic sound and Andy bell voice is wonderful, the album was  certified 2 platinum in the UK with worldwide sales of  900.000
 
 
 
 

 
 



 
 
4- Kylie Minogue - Express Yourself

Enjoy Yourself is the second studio album by Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue, released by PWL on 9 October 1989. In the United States, it was released in 1990 by Geffen Records and was Minogue's last album released in the region until her eighth studio album, Fever (2001). The album was produced and written by Stock Aitken Waterman, with the exception of "Tears on My Pillow".
Four singles were released from the album. The debut single was "Hand on Your Heart", which had charting success, peaking at number four in Australia and number one in the United Kingdom. The album also spawned the singles "Wouldn't Change a Thing", "Never Too Late", and a cover of "Tears on My Pillow", which was featured on the soundtrack to Minogue's debut film, The Delinquents.
Enjoy Yourself received mixed reviews from music critics, who regarded the album as "catchy" but criticised its similarity to Minogue's debut release. The album had commercial success, peaking in the top ten in countries including Ireland, the UK, Greece, Belgium, Australia and New Zealand. Following its initial success, the album was promoted through Minogue's first world tour, the Enjoy Yourself Tour. Beginning in 1990, the tour traveled to Australia, Britain and Asia.[1] Enjoy Yourself reached number one in the United Kingdom, and produced two number one singles. In January 1990, the album was certified four times platinum in the UK, and sold over one million copies within the first ten weeks of its release.




5- Jason Donavan  - Ten Good Reasons


Ten Good Reasons is the debut album by Australian pop star and actor Jason Donovan Released in 1989, it became the biggest selling album in the UK that year, and yielded two solo #1 singles ("Too Many Broken Hearts" and "Sealed with a Kiss") and also features a duet with Kylie Minogue, "Especially for You", which had reached #1 in January 1989.
The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number two, and then reached number one, staying there for four weeks. When his cover of Brian Hyland's "Sealed With a Kiss" entered the UK Singles Chart at number one, Donovan became the first Australian male to ever hold both UK single and UK album chart number one positions simultaneously. In Australia, the album peaked at #5 on its debut on the ARIA albums chart in June 1989, and became the 53rd highest selling album in Australia for 1989 and sold just under 2 Million worldwide.

Editor Katie Watkin's 6/5/2022  Pop idol winner and singer Will Young has finally spoken out about his twin brother Rupert's suicide ahead of a new documentary to aired on channel 4.  Rupert Young, was 41,when he tragically died after falling from Westminster Bridge in London on 2nd of August 2020. Editor Katie Watkins 10-2-2022 Fleetwood Mac released Rumours forty-five years ago this month, an album that combined some what gauzy soft pop, manicured folk and stormy rock with a soap-operatic level of intra-band strife.  Rumours won album of the year at the U.S. Grammys,  achieved 20 times platinum status in the US alone. What’s truly remarkable about this album is the album longevity , and how it continues to sell  thousands of new physical copies each year, despite being available to stream.  According to the UK’s Official Charts Company, Rumours sold over 34,593 vinyl copies in 2021, third only to new albums by Adele and Abba, and beating  new release by such artist as Ed Sheeran and Lana Del Rey.  Rumours also sold over 32,508 copies the previous year and  is currently sitting at No 29 in its 926th week on the UK  Official album chart, which is now up five pl...
